Positive Change.
"WE are in control of our own mind. The one being hypnotized is always in control and will take suggestions only if he or she chooses to do so."

What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of focused attention.
Hypnosis is a state during which the subconscious mind is open to suggestion to create positive change - a state of heightened suggestibility, so to speak.
The word "hypnosis" has been given a negative connotation by some in the entertainment industry. No one can hypnotize anyone into killing someone (unless that person is already a killer). No one can hypnotize anyone into doing anything that he or she does not want to do. No one can hypnotize anyone into doing anything that is against his or her morals or ethics. The one being hypnotized is always in control of his/her own mind, and will take suggestions only if he or she chooses to do so.
We all experience some form of hypnosis every day. Daydreaming is a form of hypnosis. When we chop vegetables for dinner, we can become hypnotized. How many times have you missed an exit off the freeway or taken a wrong turn because you were daydreaming about something else?
Well, you were hypnotized while your attention was focused on something else other than driving your car. However, had a squirrel ran in the middle of the road in front of your vehicle, you would have swerved your car or slammed on your breaks to prevent hitting that cute little critter. When one is in a state of hypnosis, he/she is still very much of aware of his/her surroundings and of what is going on.
When we are hypnotized, WE are in control of our own mind. The one being hypnotized is always in control and will take suggestions only if he or she chooses to do so.
